Lip Scrub Review & DIY
[LUSH Bubblegum Flavor Lip Scrub]
[The bright pink inside]
[Rub on to lips until you can no longer resist licking it off]
Over the last month my lips have been very dry and peeling easily... and not from kissing too much (unfortunately), but even though nobody feels gets to feel if my lips are dry and cracked or soft an supple; I still find exfoliating my lips help my lips products go on smoother, plus I can't stand my lips peeling!
This lip scrub from LUSH is my favorite Lip Scrub because not only does it leave your lips feeling amazingly soft, the scrub is actually edible! YUM! They have three different flavors, Mint Julips, Sweet Lips and the one I picked, Bubblegum. Both Mint Julips and Sweet Lips are chocolate based flavors, and despite my need for Chocolate Eaters Anonymous I preferred the taste of Bubblegum.
Each lips scrub retails for $9.95 in the United States, also check out their chapsticks to apply after you exfoliate [I prefer Lip Service that retails for $7.25]
Make your own...
Not feeling like buying a lip scrub... try making your own!
Try mixing: Castor Sugar andJojoba oil (or any preferred oil) together -- may not taste good unless you try adding some form of flavoring to it!

Maybelline Color Whisper Review
[Packaging -- after my dog chewed on the cap]
[Color in tube]
[Color 30 Pin Up Peach -- Peach color with small amounts of gold shimmer]
[Bare Lips
[Lips with Pin-Up Peach]
Attention! Attention! Read all about it...
Maybelline has come out a new lip product! Its their version of Relvon Lip Butters... But does it compare?
Personally I love the new Color Whispers they are similar to Lip Butters but arn't exactly the same... They are much less pigmented, which is great when you want to just enhance your lips without looking like your wearing a lot. While Color Whispers still do come in several bright colors they are still much more sheer but easily build-able, where I find lip butters one swipe and your done! Texture wise I find Lip butters feel more moisturizing and thicker where the Color Whispers are less sticky and more slicky... Also there is no taste or scent
Anyways for those of you who love the Lip Butters but want something a little more natural run... don't walk to your drugstore because these are perfect for you!

Valentine's Day Nails!
Instead of doing an expected heart on my nails for Valentine's Day I combined red and pinks to give this nail a fresh girly look. I used a toothpick to do the dot accent on my middle nail, although those with steadier hands than mine could do all their nails! Hope you enjoy! Post any of your Valentine's Day nails your rocking!

DIY Tinted Mouisturizer
Although tinted moisturizer is pretty self-explanatory I thought I'd show how I create my tinted moisturizer. I create my own when I want a more natural look, and don't want to use my BB cream. Also, I've noticed in the past that my skin doesn't react well to store bought tinted moisturizers (anyone else?), because the moisturizer isn't hypoallergenic or is generally too thick for my oily skin.
So...
My favorite mousiturizer + favorite good coverage foundation = Favorite tinted moisturizer
Simple enough! Hopefully for those of you tinted moisturizer skeptic this will work!

[Pour even amounts of each on to back of hand]
[Mix together till fully mixed with brush or sponge]
[Me before any makeup]
[I like using the BeautyBlender sponge to apply]
[Finished look -- before the rest of my makeup was applied!]

LUSH Skincare Review

To start, I have had troubled skin since I was about 14 years old... Acne, Oily-Combo & Sensitive skin -- the trifecta! So keep in mind those are the needs I am attempting to address!
Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask:
They are not kidding with using "Fresh" in the name. It is made with agar agar seaweed, fuller’s earth, kaolin, honey, glycerin, almond oil, ground almost shells, ground almonds, and lavender oil; and is kept chilled to maintain the ingredients benefits! Also warning does expire 2-3 weeks from purchase and check before you buy -- I know people who have been sold a mask that is only good for a week. This mask is recommended for dry skin, however it is a god send for my oily-combo acne prone skin, I have used this product for about a year (not consistently since I can't afford it that often!) but I have seen major improvements in my skins texture, and appearance when using this product. Although for some the roughness of this when you "Scrub" it on before you let it sit, may be a bit much; however my sensitive skin can handle it! By far the best facial mask -- and smells like lavender! Who doesn't love that? Besides Jessica...
Eau Roma Water Toner:
Another lavender scented product... This toner while for me is a very pricy toner is well worth the 10-22 dollar price tag. It is one of the few toners I have found that evens my skintone without stripping my face, common problem with many of the toners I have tried.
Easy application -- just spray straight on the face or cotton pad and sweep sweep -- DONE! For those of you with sensitive skin this is an Ah-mazing toner. The lavender oil will keep your skin calm and hydrated.
Tea Tree Water Toner: [Not Pictured Above]
Why two? Well because the Eau Roma is what I use before I go to bed to calm my skin, and the Tea Tree is Anti-Bacterial properties before I put on makeup! Although this toner is definatly my second favorite -- for those with acne problems or just hormonal as I am this one is great.
Grease Lighting:
See spots run... Really... I recently started using this spot treatment from LUSH and I love it! It doesn't dry my zits -- I hate having dry flakes on my face since I never usually do they stick-out more than a zit. This tea-tree gel spot treatment can also be used as an overall acne treatment, which is what I do too!
Herbalism:
To start this face wash smells HORRIBLE to me... and its incredibly messy... That being said this face wash is a great face wash for really getting that oily skin clean. Its made with ground almonds, rosemary and rice vinegar and more. This is a gentle exfoliating cleanser but does leave that squeaky clean feeling. I've been using it for a few weeks now and probably wont re-purchase since I love the Aveeno Positively Radiant more and might look deeper into Aveeno face wash. Also for those of you with more sensitive skin check out Fresh Farmacy, easier to use and gentler than Herbalism and a cult favorite of Lushies...

White on Nude

Nude nails, another one of my obsessions. I have a very unsteady hand and mess up a lot but I finally found a polish that fixes both of those problems: Sinful Colors Nail Art in white. This brand is super cheap so I don't mind messing up not to mention it has a skinny brush that helps me do fun little designs wayyyy easier!! The base coat is actually a gel that I got done for my sisters wedding a week ago so I'm not sure what color that was. I'm absolutely in love with gel though and am hoping to get a kit of my own. Let me know what you think!!
